From a Call to a Cause: SAHO Creations’ Heartfelt Journey with Mr Muhuntharaj

One day, I received an unexpected call from the United Kingdom. The voice on the other end was warm and full of admiration. It was Mr. Muhuntharaj, who had stumbled upon a video we shared on our social media. The video featured an elderly couple from Akkarayan and our heartfelt appeal for donations to build them a house. Moved by our effort, he praised us for the work we were doing for the elderly in Akkarayan. Thus began our inspiring journey with Mr. Muhuntharaj.
With the unwavering support of our viewers, youth volunteers, and the local community, we built a modest house in Skanthapuram, Akkarayan. The generosity of well-wishers and Mr. Muhuntharaj’s encouragement fueled our efforts. It was a true testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together for a common cause.

A few months later, Mr. Muhuntharaj visited Sri Lanka to meet us in person. He also took the opportunity to visit our content creation classes in Adamban, Mannar. His donation of equipment was a game-changer, significantly enhancing the quality of our productions and easing our efforts.
Mr. Muhuntharaj, originally from Valvettithurai and a defense consultant in the UK, is a passionate advocate for community service. As the founder of the Healthier Society Foundation, he believes in addressing fundamental issues to create lasting solutions. This principle is the cornerstone of his foundation. In Deniyaya, Matara, he established a Healthier Society Center and led leadership workshops for the youth. His initiative also included setting up a fully equipped computer center to combat the lack of computer literacy in the area. Additionally, he invested in entrepreneurial workshops for women-headed families, significantly impacting their lives.

SAHO Creations proudly supported all these initiatives in Deniyaya. Mr. Muhuntharaj’s philosophy, “Turn disaster into opportunity,” resonates deeply with us. We are immensely grateful to have him as a part of the SAHO Creations family.
